Tulay Insured

Tulay is an insurtech startup that aims to connect international students to equitable health insurance plans in Canada.

We identified a big problem that majority of international students do not have access to adequate health insurance coverage in Canada.

In 2017, Bernice’s had to pay over $40,000 to cover my brother’s medical expenses after sustaining an injury. He was an international student and he didn’t have the right insurance coverage. It was a time of unimaginable emotional and financial distress. This is the reason why we created Tulay.

Tulay Insured is co-founded by both Alyssa Mariano and Bernice Ebata.
